A stunning hot hatch with amazing performance

For a low mileage 1 owner example prices start from £30,000.A great buy with a combined MPG of 40.9,the insurance group stands at 43E,only £190 road tax per year,0-62MPH in 4.6 seconds,top speed of 155MPH with a 2.0l turbo charged engine. Do you think this is a practical hot hatch? Reason why we think;

  • 5 doors
  • 5 seats
  • 4 wheel drive
  • economical
  • smooth ride

Value for money and will this car hold it’s money well?

Compared to the Golf R,RS3 and the BMW 135I the A45 AMG is great value for money, becuase of the dual clutch gearbox in the A45 the gear changes are lighting fast. With the combined MPG of the Golf R being 39.8,M135I being 37.7 and the RS3 being the worst at 31mpg.The A45 is more efficent than all of it’s competitors.

Optional extras to look out for when buying a used A45

  • Aero kit
  • Carbon firbre interior
  • Artico leather microfibre seats with black contrast stitching
  • AMG sport suspension
  • Front and rear break calipers with red AMG lettering
  • 18″ alloy wheels
  • AMG performance steering wheel
  • Premium equipment line
  • Panoramic glass sunroof
  • Harman Kardon Logic 7 speakers
  • Keyless-go

Speed

  • VW GTI clubsport-5.8 seconds
  • Honda Civic Type R-5.7 seconds
  • Golf R-4.9 seconds
  • BMW M135i- 4.8 seconds
  • A45 AMG- 4.2 seconds
  • RS3- 4.1 seconds

With the A45 AMG being almost similar to the RS3 with only an 0.1 second diffrenece they dominate the leaderboared of all the Hot Hatches. Due to the similar break horse power and 4 wheel drive setup. Does a £6000 price difference justify a 0.1 second 0-60 time?

For a reasonably priced, great spec Mercedes A45 AMG check this one out,
