Gary Anderson: I blew my chances

Blog / Gary Anderson: I blew my chances

GARY ANDERSON was steaming mad after seeing his Premier League defence derailed, admitting: “I blew too many chances.”

The Flying Scotsman’s hopes of grabbing a third PL title hit the buffers after a stuttering 10-7 defeat at the hands of Phil Taylor in the O2 semi-finals on Thursday night.

The week began with the Flying Scotsman train gloriously chuffing over the Forth Bridge – but the darting equivalent was never on the right track against The Power.

Anderson admitted: “I just blew too many chances, simple as that. It’s really disappointing for me. I missed too many doubles and then when I got back at Phil I just couldn’t get level, but I’ll be back.”

Michael van Gerwen went onto regain the title beating Taylor 11-3 in the final.
