BMW M235i v M2
Since the release of the new BMW M2 people have been thinking is there still any love for the M235i.Both the M2 and the M235i both have the same 3.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, the M235i goes from 0-62 in 4.8 seconds and the M2 goes from 0-60 in 4.3 seconds.Does that justify a £10,000 difference?
The M2 costing £44,000 is the more expensive option out off all the small high powered performance cars. With the M badge the car has to live up to the reputation that the M badge holds. With the 0-62 time of 4.3 seconds and the top speed of 155mph.With 364 BHP going to the rear wheels you can be certain that the car is fun to drive and can be very dangerous in the wet.Whats different between the 235i and the M2? The M2 has the pistons from the BMW M3 and a new induction kit to give it that increased power. For most people they were impressed that BMW released an option for a manual gearbox.
The M235i a great deal cheaper than the M2 and still offers the power performance and thrill that the M2 offers. It still has the aggresion and the look of the M2 especially if you get the M performance pack which gives you upgrade alloy’s side skirts and a rear diffuser.Reviews show that the BMW M235i is fast in the straights and agile in the bends with brilliant steering and power delivery making sure you grip through the corners in the dry.On the other hand a small coupe with 322BPH it is going to be dangerous in the wet.
