Driving gives you the freedom to explore, travel, meet new people, and ultimately have loads of fun. If you don’t believe us, just take a look at the big screen to see for yourself! Road trip movies are often some of the most enjoyable cinema watches, and we’ve compiled a list of some of our favourites to get you inspired to try your very own summer adventure.

Little Miss Sunshine

A feel-good independent film about a family who travel by campervan to California for a children’s beauty pageant. A hilariously accurate depiction of family life, set in an iconic vehicle interior.

National Lampoon’s Vacation

Always great family fun, this addition to the National Lampoon collection is a laugh-out-loud tale of chaos, as the family head to a water park in the first of the successful hit movies.

Twinkie-hunting, zombie-slaying duo Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson are the main characters in this fantastic black comedy – a great modern take on the classic apocalypse film. Join them as they travel the country on a mission to save lives and quell appetites.

Thelma and Louise

This classic hardly needs any introduction, but for those of a younger generation, meet the bad girls who taught the rest of us how to live it up on the road. A dramatic cinema staple for any road trip watchlist.

The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert

The unpredictable story of a drag queen who decides to take his show on the road, along with two cross-dressing counterparts, performing for thousands of adoring (and some unadoring) fans on their travels. We can’t promise your road trip will be this eventful, but it’s still very much worth a watch.

Don’t forget – if you’re taking a road trip this year, make sure your vehicle is safe and appropriate for your travels. We stock a variety of comfortable luxury cars to make your trip an even greater success, no matter which story inspires you!
