Honda Civic

However the Vauxhall Astra is a still a great contender for a good family car. It is spacious and efficient which is what you need from a hatchback.The 1.6 litre petrol engine is not the most efficient however Vauxhall also offer a 1.7 litre diesel engine which is much more efficient.With a combined MPG of 67.3 and annual road tax of £20.
