LEICESTER hero Jamie Vardy has become a talent show judge – and confessed to being a breakdancer!
Vardy, who picked up the Premier League trophy with the Foxes last Saturday, joined fellow England player Chris Smalling and legend Robbie Fowler for a special talent show set-up by Vauxhall.
The footballers kicked off Vauxhall’s #GetIN campaign by becoming judges and auditioning the public in a football celebration version of Britain’s Got Talent.
Man of the moment Vardy gave his highest score to breakdancer Philip Mark Prescott, acknowledging the performance was “a bit of him” and confessing he is partial to a breakdance move or two himself.
Meanwhile Smalling gave martial arts contestant Mark Elliot more than he bargained for, demonstrating a floor-slamming Judo move on him at the end of his performance and revealing he was a former Judo champion himself.
Winning breakdancer Prescott won over all three judges with his head-spinning moves, scoring an impressive 26 out of 30.
His unique celebration will now become the official #GetIN celebration for England this summer and performed at a live event by the talented winners.
Vardy said, “I thought lots of the acts were really talented. I used to actually watch all the break dancing competitions and the battle offs so I had a lot of time for Philip’s breakdance routine. Definitely a bit of me that.”
